PUBLIC CLINICS

Where possible please request an MRI for your patient at the time of their referral, if this has not already been done. This will help us to carry out an efficient review with results and a plan on the day of their appointment.

The following MRI/MRA will be required depending on the reason for referral:

  • Spinal reviews: MRI Cervical / Thoracic / Lumbar / Lumbosacral / Whole Spine
  • Brain reviews: MRI Brain / MRI Brain + Cervical Spine
  • Brain aneurysm review: MRA Brain

NOTE
: an x-ray is not sufficient for a spinal review (with the exception of patients with a pacemaker or similar MRI non-compatible equipment in situ)

Information for Patients being referred

We will be happy to offer you an appointment for a review for spinal and brain conditions.
You will need a referral letter from you GP / Consultant / Physiotherapist

  • Ideally you will need an MRI before your appointment. If you have difficulty getting this through your GP please contact us to discuss alternative options
  • We will need to access the images at your appointment. If your MRI was done anywhere other than the Hermitage Clinic or an Affidea centre, you will need to bring a CD with the images to your appointment.

NOTE: the report alone is not enough, we need access to the images for your review
